I'm a

Experience

Full Stack / Front-end Developer

KraftCode | January 2025 - Present | Contract | Remote

  • Worked on two client products in production: a skills and career platform and a multi-brand e-commerce site. I took features from Figma through implementation, testing and release.
  • I estimated each ticket and implemented the front-end work in React and TypeScript. When a feature crossed into the back end, I also worked in NestJS or Express.
  • The teams ranged from 5 to 15 people and included design, engineering, QA and product. I also discussed workflows directly with client stakeholders.
  • Accessibility and translations were part of regular feature work. I ran the full stack locally with Docker and used feature branches in GitHub and GitLab.

Full Stack Developer

CodeWorlds | April 2021 - August 2025 | Contract | Remote

  • Built a gamified programming platform from an agreed scope and released it to production.
  • The web app uses Next.js, React, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS. It consumes REST and GraphQL APIs and is available in five languages.
  • Set up NextAuth with JWT sessions, role checks and Google and GitHub sign-in. Added Przelewy24 checkout for single purchases and recurring subscriptions.

Front-end Developer

Webalize | December 2024 - January 2025 | Contract | Remote

  • Built the complete front end for a vehicle inspection booking service using Next.js App Router, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS.
  • Used Prisma and Server Actions for data stored in PostgreSQL. NextAuth kept customer, operator and admin access separate.
  • Worked in a team of 5–8 with a designer, developers, QA and product owners. I discussed the details of the booking flow directly with the client.

Full Stack Developer (Volunteer)

Digital Competence Foundation | October 2024 - November 2025 | Volunteering | Remote

  • Created the foundation's adoption website in Next.js and React. I set up Storyblok and designed the content schemas used by the main sections.
  • Wrote responsive components and checked the more complex layouts with a keyboard and screen reader.
  • Added automatic alt text for images uploaded through Storyblok.
  • Documented the project and wrote instructions for editors who manage the site.

Freelance Web Developer

Self-employed | September 2019 - Present | Freelance | Remote

  • Build websites and web applications for small businesses and individual clients. I usually handle the work from the first requirements call to deployment.
  • I also join existing teams when they need help with a specific module or feature.
  • Recent prototypes include a React Native crypto wallet and an AI interview practice app.
  • Most of my recent work uses React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind CSS, with Node.js and SQL or NoSQL databases on the back end.

Projects

Skills & Career Development Platform
Employees, employers and training providers use this platform to work with the same European skills taxonomy and course catalogue. Access to employee data requires consent. The product is split into four portals and a public website. Separate AI services extract skills from CVs, job descriptions and course content, then use them to suggest learning pathways. It has been live since June 2026.
WHAT I DID
  • I built the four React 19 and TypeScript portals and the public website from Figma designs. The work included role-protected routes, filterable tables and D3 visualisations of skill gaps.
  • Most of the main user journeys were multi-step forms. I worked on registration, document-based skills audits, course creation, CSV imports and pathway generation. Employer features included job roles, employee matching and organisation reports.
  • On the back end, I added NestJS modules for matching employees to roles, managing bilingual CMS content and email templates, discontinuing courses on a schedule, and publishing maintenance notices. The data layer used Prisma and PostgreSQL.
  • Keycloak handled authentication through OIDC and JWT realm roles. I connected the portals to LangChain skill-extraction services and moved longer jobs to a Redis queue so they did not block dashboard requests.
  • I covered my changes with Vitest, Jest and Playwright tests. Accessibility and translations were handled in the same tickets as the feature work. The team worked in weekly Scrum sprints with GitHub Flow and ran the stack in Docker.

Multi-brand E-commerce Platform
One codebase runs storefronts for several retail brands in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. It also has internal tools for content, media, promotions and translations. The storefront migration is still in progress, so the older Express/Pug application and the newer React 18/Vite SSR app run side by side. Both use Node.js services, Redis and the same commerce engine.
WHAT I DID
  • I worked in both storefronts on product listings, product pages, the cart, checkout and customer accounts. New UI used the company's Storybook component library.
  • I added semantic product search based on cloud embeddings, as well as recommendations on product and search pages.
  • Checkout supports cards, wallets, invoices and direct debit. I adapted Payone's hosted card fields and payment controls for keyboard and screen-reader use, and connected account and lead forms to Emarsys.
  • Much of my work involved accessibility fixes in product pages, overlays, sliders, menus and forms. I also added alt-text fields and heading validation to the CMS, and made required form fields configurable there.
  • I wrote and updated tests with Vitest, Testing Library and Mocha. Changes went through GitLab merge requests and CI. I used the existing Docker Compose environment for local development.

Vehicle Inspection Booking Platform
Drivers use the public site to book vehicle inspections. Stations manage staff, availability and bookings in a separate operator panel, while administrators review listings and edit location pages in the CMS. There is no booking fee, and customers receive confirmation or cancellation by email.
WHAT I DID
  • I wrote the production front end in Next.js 15, React and TypeScript. It covered the public booking flow, operator panel and admin CMS, all using a custom component library and Tailwind CSS.
  • The operator calendar was my main area of responsibility. I used react-big-calendar to show staff resources, overlapping bookings and blocked time, then adapted it for Polish users and smaller screens.
  • I set up NextAuth credentials and role checks for the operator and admin areas. My other work included station settings, account screens and a keyboard-accessible cancellation flow.
  • Location pages were edited through an EditorJS-based CMS. I used Prisma and Server Actions with PostgreSQL, and built searchable admin tables with TanStack Table.
  • I also worked on location search using Nominatim geocoding. The geographic query ran in PostgreSQL on the back end. Three developers worked on the project using feature branches.

Gamified Programming Learning Platform
Learners practise programming through themed course worlds and interactive exercises. They can write and run code in the browser, join quizzes and take part in rankings, guilds and missions. Mentors have a separate panel for reviewing submitted work. The product also sells courses and subscriptions and uses AI to review code.
WHAT I DID
  • I built and maintained the learner application and marketing pages in Next.js 15, React and TypeScript. Apollo Client handled GraphQL data, while Redux-Saga was used for REST requests.
  • My work on the learner dashboard covered progress, activity, achievements and the in-app currency. I also worked on rankings, guilds, missions and the mentor grading panel.
  • Authentication used NextAuth with JWT sessions, Google and GitHub sign-in, and a separate mentor role. I added Przelewy24 payments for courses, subscriptions and in-app currency, and later reworked the package store.
  • I connected GPT-4o-mini to the code review, contextual hints and lesson assistant. Real-time quiz rooms used Socket.io.
  • The interface used next-translate. I added Polish and English pricing pages and adjusted them for small screens.

Mobile Crypto Wallet
The Android prototype ran on an EVM testnet. A user could create a wallet with an email address or connect an external wallet, then send funds to any address. Transactions used account abstraction with sponsored gas, so the test wallet did not need a native-token balance. The crypto work extended an existing card-wallet app; another developer worked on the card interface.
WHAT I DID
  • I built the crypto tab and the complete transfer flow, from entering an address and amount to checking the balance, sending the transaction and showing its final status.
  • Thirdweb provided email wallets with OTP login, external connections for MetaMask, Coinbase Wallet and Rainbow, and the account-abstraction setup.
  • I added the wallet setup screens and connected them to the app's existing tab and stack navigation. Redux Toolkit stored the transaction state.
  • I handled the Android build with Gradle and Metro, including native permissions and Expo modules inside a React Native CLI project.

About Me

Hey, I'm Patryk, a full-stack developer in Warsaw. I've been doing this commercially for a bit over six years. I like messy problems, and I still pick up new tools when a job needs them.
Day to day that's React, Next.js, TypeScript and Node.js (NestJS). I've shipped multi-brand shops, role-based dashboards, booking systems and a couple of mobile apps. Payment integrations show up a lot. So do LLM features and vector search.
I use AI coding agents at work. They speed up writing, refactoring and review. I still own the architecture and what goes out. I estimate my own tickets and see them through to release. Tests, a11y and i18n go in with the feature.
